Press download for extra sharpness! (deviantart makes it fuzzy even when I choose original size on fullview for some reason..)

Man, I must have put more than 50 hours into this one. And it feels pretty good to call it done! Except for a few stuff that's bothering me a little I am quite pleased with it, I like this sort of Sci-fi. When it's kind of mixed together with materials "of today" and not too over the top. Anyways, thanks for looking. Comments and critique always welcome!

Can you find the gecko? ;)

EDIT: I fixed her left hand, played with some adjustment layers adding more contrast, removed the "new" text and replaced it with another orange. And I added some cables hanging down to break up the composition a bit.

I love the angles on the cuts of glass in the windshield, like their technology is beyond simple angles.

Found the gecko! :dummy:

Great painting! 50 hours?! I would have either given up or... died. Probably died. That's like more than a full work week! You've got devotion, that's for sure and it payed off :D

Whaaaaaaaat! I'm blown away! This is amazing as always! The title "Fresh Oranges" reminds me of my artwork called "Fresh Apples." Anyways I found the gecko! :D You should do one of those speed paint things so that way we can see how you started. That would be cool too. I love your style! ;D

Pretty awesome. Paintings like this remind everyone why they like science fiction. Love to read any book with that picture on the cover.
There's a bit of the '50s in that car. Left hand (fingers) and the Chelsea boots are a little off, but who doesn't have trouble with hands and feet?

Thanks! That's really cool to hear since I want to illustrate book covers, like right now :P

as far as the hands go yeah.. I totally see what you mean, should've spent a little more time on that hand. Like you say hands are tough! But you've got a pair of your own so there's always reference! The boots are Jodphurs, I assume they are a lot like chelsea boots. I had such a difficult time picking between boots and "adidas race sneakers". I'm glad I went with the boots in the end. I feel the entire "Bottom" pose is off, it just feels weird. Would've been nice to have shot some reference, maybe next time. :)thanks again for your great comment!

Chelseas and Jodpurs are basically the same thing. Jodphurs are the functional version intended for actual riding. Used to work in fashion and Chelseas were real popular.

The length and thickness of the left hand's ring finger need to be increased a smidge. Also the knuckles should form a gentle arc with the middle finger's knuckle as the low point. For some reason hands always stick out, but the issues are small. The bottom doesn't look weird. The the pose seems consistent overall. I like how relaxed she looks. The right arc of her left (our right) toe box is a little shallow so the front of the boot doesn't look like it has quite enough volume/width. Her right toebox (our left)doesn't match up with the angle of the ground. What you might be seeing in the bottom part of the pose is the foreshortening of her left (our right)thigh. The angle (curve) just above the knee is a little steep.

Those things are really tiny. I had to stare at the pic for a while to pick them out. My initial impression when I saw this was "cool". It's really bright and airy. Colors are perfect. I get a lot of group notifications and rarely click on them, but your pick drew me in. Some pretty sick details. Love the mirage effect in the distance and the weathered metal of the trash can. Keep up the good work:)
