“The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we … kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.”

All the worlds a stage and all the men and women merle players, they have there exits and entrances and one man in his times play many parts, his acts sings of an ages.

Great quote, great art. Thank you.
Why the Israeli flag?
I really like this painting. Your statement and execution are powerful and forward, which is great with political pieces. Your sketchy painting style has a lot of character too, I really enjoy the skulls and the lively expressions and demeanor of the people. And the cherry on top is that Bill Hicks quote, awesome choice!
Does the art really match the statement?
if by statement you mean the quote from Bill Hicks? Then not entirely, though they are very very close related. I think you would see the match if you have some sort of understanding of the current financial system and political establishment and if you are familiar with Bill Hicks performances and his view on western society. It might be a long shot and most might not see it. But Bill Hicks is one of my favourite comedians and he is a big part of me realizing a lot of things about society. So I figured one of his famous quotes could fit good with this piece..
Oy vey, you goyim are getting so audacious! We children of Abraham have to stick together...
This is Dope!
lovely piece of artwork, well done I'm gonna give you a fav on this one .
Great work man!
Isn't the symbolism a little bit... thick?
Well yeah, it's a lot of symbolism in one piece. But that was sort of my point, to make it super obvious.. not the most "estethic" painting I've ever done. But then again that wasn't really my point with it.. Thanks for commenting!
This wiretapping scandal we have going on in America is so pathetic. It's almost like we're still in the Cold War. But frankly, the way things are happening right now, I stay we still are.
we sure are!
Reagan didn't end it, he just took the whole thing down a notch. Obama's ratcheting it back up one notch at a time. It will be interesting, inspiring, and frightening to see where this leads.
We wear masks to hide the ugly truth from the world and from ourselves, we live just to find a reason to live or just a lie to keep on living, we strive , we fight ,we survive to find something to fill the gap in our hears, some fill it with sweet lies, some others just just leave it empty waiting for the true piece, some others just find something temporary and others crumble.
