Dragon Carcass

They had felt the smell all the way from the other side of the ridge before finally arriving to what they could tell was the decaying carcass of a young red dragon. Once king of the skies, now slave to the scavengers and maggots, slowly becoming one with the earth. The ancient, rocky faces on the mountain looked sad, as if they were almost mourning the fate of the young dragon. A group of crows were enjoying the feast, tenaciously trying to pull the meat off of the young dragon's bones.
